Synthesis and characterization of heterocyclic compounds and preliminary evaluation of their antibacterial activity and antioxidant agents

Abstract
Some novel
2-methylquinazolin-4(3H)-ones that carries biphenyl derivatives (A1-A12) were
synthesized in better yields and study for their potential antibacterial
activities. The structures of the synthesized compound were proofed on the
basis of their spectral data [FTIR, 1H-NMR] and physical properties.
Their antibacterial activities were evaluated by the agar through Diffusion
method. The results indicated that some of these derivatives have good antibacterial
activities when compared with standard antibiotic.
